LATEST UPDATE: 20 JULY  2010

website design software

Shapes and colours is a game made up of 3 simple sub-games aimed primarily at helping young children identify basic shapes and colours, and centres around the player colouring cascading shapes. I'm hoping the game may also be suitable for children with learning disabilities.

* Gameplay is mousepointer-only controlled - no clicking necessary, may be suitable        for Headtrackers / Eyetrackers.

* Positive Gameplay - you can’t lose or ‘get it wrong’.

* 3 Types of game designed to suit a wide range of abilities.

* Variable game speeds and difficulty settings.

Sub-game 1: COLOUR THE SHAPES - aimed at ages 2+

This is a simple game for very young children. By moving the large mouse pointer over the colour palette at the bottom of the screen, select a colour and paint the shapes as they fall down the screen.

Sub-game 2: COLOUR AND COUNT - aimed at ages 3+

The player is shown a specific shape and colour - correctly colour 10 of the specified shapes.

Sub-game 3: COLOURING CHALLENGE - aimed at ages 5+

3 Skill levels to choose from.                                                                                           Correctly colour each shape as it cascades down. Select a colour by pointing at the colour on the palette then colour the shape by pointing at it (no clicking necessary). How many points can you score in 60 seconds?
